"This hotel is so unique. It’s a place to stay if you are interested in Spanish history and would like to stay somewhere that honors the past. Bill is incredibly knowledgeable about the pazo’s history both of the family that owned it and general history of the area. There are quite alot of cats and a few dogs around so it may not be the place for you if you aren’t keen on animals."

"It is a pleasure to write a review of Casa das Capelas. It is a large and beautiful, fully renovated, historical building, set in lovely grounds. My excellent room looked out over rolling countryside. So peaceful. And the owners were extremely hospitable. There is a great patio to have a glass of wine, meet a few locals and eat a light dinner. Highly recommended. I will definitely stay here again next time I am in the area."

"The check-in desk was in the restaurant located around the corner from the hotel. The clerk handed me four keys on a ring and walked with me to the hotel. "The property is clean and in the middle of everything. Free parking on street. Restaurants everywhere. The two bad issues - hair dryer did not work and there is no thermostat to turn heater on as it became cold in the middle of the night. I had to get up and wear my jacket in bed.
