Syracuse is a beautiful city with so much history and plenty to see and do. Visit the ancient Greek ruins (~500 BC) and stroll the quaint, nearly car-free Jewish quarter on Ortigia.

The archaeological park is wonderful. Great seaside bike path to the east of the city, past the wartime Fascist monument to The African War dead (invasion of Abyssinia as it is known outside Italy). Great views of the sea & harbour around the hotel.

Syracuse- Ortigia is a must visit if you are in Sicily. The history and the beauty of the place is incredibile. Every corner is a discovery, a breath taking sight. Food is excellent and the overall feeling is incredibly relaxing.

"Every traveller in the last 4 years or so will have noticed the insanely abusive increase in worldwide accomodation pricing often doubling or tripling what rooms cost 5 years ago. After 20 days of travel between turkey and sicily i would say this hotel was by far the greatest value for the money spent. Impeccably curated in every detail, elegant decoration.
