I found the layout of the room quite strange with having to enter theoretically through the bathroom, with more space being given to that actual area than to the bedroom part of the room. If you have two people staying in a room for a length of time there is never enough storage space for luggage etc. I also find it strange that now a hotels want you to conserve energy by reusing towels, but again if there are two people using a room there is only enough space to hang one towel

Loved our stay at the Ace! From the moment we checked in, the staff were helpful and friendly. The hotel has a great vibe and the rooms are perfect with unique touches. The location in Surry Hills is ideal with numerous first class coffee shops, brunch places and dinner options near by and when it’s time to leave, the train to the airport is only a short walk away. We will be back on our return to Sydney.

Service is so so. The hotel has a restaurant on the main floor with loud music and people coming and going every night so it is so noisy. Elevator is super slow. Not enough lights in the bathroom and toilet - it is extremely dark in these spaces.

We’ve stayed at many Ace hotels and will continue to - but the room I was assigned this time was terrible. The room itself was fine, but it was directly under the kitchen of Kiln and it is extremely loud. I was awake until 12:30 when the final clean down was done and staff had left. That room should not be used unless a last resort and definitely should make the person staying aware of noise
