"Great reviews so booked at short notice, wish we hadn’t. The room was spacious but had a number of annoying or safety issues. First of all the blinds didnt go all the way down leaving bright sunlight streaming directly onto the bed. The bathroom was awful after a shower, just like a skating rink. The breeze block step into the building was wobbly. The worst was the electric lead, plugged in, which then trailed across the corridor, and out the front door, twice we nearly went flying when we tripped over it"

"Stunning setting for this castle on a moat. We were delighted with our large comfortable room in the castle up on the 2nd floor with a fabulous view across the grounds, gardens and moat. Dinner at the Michelin restaurant was beautifully presented and served, and breakfast was especially excellent and thoughtful.Staff were kind and helpful and always gracious. The gardens were delightful, even in the pouring rain. Wish we could have stayed longer."

"Staff is awesome, checked on us frequently to see if we needed anything. The hot beverage machine in the kitchen you get to use was always available. It was nice to have a refrigerator to use and to make a breakfast in the morning. The room was quiet and bed was fine. The hotel has been updated and is well kept. The candy in the room was a nice touch. Great value "

"A decent hotel & great choice in Holbaek. It can get noisy if there is a function & there’s no soundproofing between floors- so ask for the top floor. A bit light on breakfast choices especially if you’re a vegan & they do allow smoking in the courtyard which does drift into the rooms. But overall a good choice."
