Summer Shade Holiday Rentals

"Not our first choice but turned out to be best choice. We came down to see the caves and we were trying to escape our neighborhood fireworks noise racket that runs a week before and after July 4th. The lodging at MAMMOTH CAVES NPS was fully booked so we turned to Cave City. This lodging choice was far more economical & as it turned out, better for our food options. We discovered ACE COFFEE as well as CAVE CITY PIZZA. Those two Broadway neighbors are quite possibly worth a re-visit to the area. Staff at Red Roof Inn was excellent. We could have done without the fireworks racket we heard on July 4th but that’s not exactly something mgmt could control (although I think some hotel guests were setting off fireworks which were also for sale nearby to the parking lot.) This wasn’t luxury lodging but for the price, clean and comfortable with in room fridge & microwave. We aren’t TV watchers but that seemed nice too. "

" Nestled in the foothills of Horse Cave city, This hotel is convenient to get to most hiking trails in Mammoth Cave within minutes. Gas and convenience stores are nearby The rooms were very clean, and there were plenty of amenities. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful I felt totally safe here and it was very quiet"

"The room was very clean but beds were not comfortable at all. Owner was not very friendly. We paid cash in advance for 3 nights. We decided to spend the last night somewhere else and they refused to refund for the 3rd night, so we just lost that money. As someone where every dime counts in our family, that was disappointing ☹️"
