"Our stay was fabulous! Travelling with our son and his wife, the four of us could not have asked for a better experience while staying at the Glengarry Castle Hotel - peace and tranquility amongst beautiful surroundings. Yest just a short (about 15 min) drive to Fort Augustus for shopping, restaurants and amenities. The hotel had a calming effect on all of us, especially when we relaxed on the rear terrace with a cocktail overlooking the view of the mountains and Loch Oich after a long day of touring nearby. The hotel allowed us to feel engaged with nature, while taking in several stunning sunsets. It was exactly the medicine we needed and more than we hoped for. The area has plenty of charm and character, friendly people, and easy access to nearby villages. Overall, the Glengarry Castle Hotel is 5 star, very well appointed and has all the amenities you need. We'll be returning! Deric"

"I was pleasantly surprised on arrival at The Inch Hotel. The manager who checked us in was really friendly and helpful, he gave us lots of information on the local area and recommended places for us to visit and the best way to get there. Our room was possibly in the furthest part of the hotel and i couldn't get any wifi there but the size of the room, the bed and the overall cozyness made up for it. The en suite bathroom was a bit of a hazard, the light switch hit you in the face if you forgot it catches on the door and don't move quick enough, the shower was over the bath and without a none slip bath mat both me and my partner had a close calling getting out of the shower and both nearly slipped. We ate both breakfast and an evening meal here and both were excellent. All the staff were super friendly and helpfull. The bar area was cozy and there is a seprate room to relax in with comfy chairs and great views. There are loads of excellent prints/photos all around the hotel of wildlife and scenery, i would of bought some if they were for sale. I enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again if we were in the area. "

"The Lock Ness Guest House check-in was “contact free,” with us given a code to get in the front door, and then once in picking up our key for the room assigned. However we arrived early, and wanted to store our luggage somewhere other than the car, as we were going somewhere else until actual check-in. We then had a very positive interaction with one of the staff, who came out to greet us, and agreed to let us leave our bags there in the common area, inside the locked/coded door. This gave us a sense of security and comfort. While they did not have an accessible room, they did place us on the first floor, and with a room that gave us enough room to move around in, including a comfortably sized bathroom that worked well enough for our needs (some mobility issues, using either a cane or a walker, depending on the circumstances). While the halls going to/from the common area had a couple of tight turns, with doors, they were flat enough, and opened easily enough, to not be an issue. The common room itself, where the guests had breakfast, was generously open and easy to move around in. Our room was solid, basic comfort, which was all we needed. While there was enough parking for all the guests, the designated handicapped parking space was on patch of river rocks, which made actually walking on difficult. While I would NOT recommend the Loch Ness Guest House to any one requiring a wheelchair, it did work well enough for us with a walker/cane."
