"Fabulous! Tony & Diana - who run the property - were delightful and incredibly helpful. Rooms are beautifully decorated and, for once, are the same size in real life as they are in the publicity photos! Very handy location: our car remained in the parking area right in front of the hotel for the duration of our stay and we walked into town every day. Breakfast is included. There is a great choice and it is all cooked to perfection. Would recommend without the slightest hesitation."

"Stayed here just for the night for work and what a lovely cosy place! The host had left me a breakfast bag & in the room there was plenty of Yorkshire Tea, biscuits and treats. The bed was comfortable and the shower was hot too! Felt very welcome, would definitely recommend it. "

"Very friendly helpful staff and instructions before arrival and during my stay. Clean and tidy room. Walls not sound proof so spent the night listening to a neighbour snoring unfortunately but very comfortable bed. Carpet was vacuumed but could do with a shampoo. Excellent breakfast. "Lovely two night stay. Charming rooms which were dog friendly, additional charge applied. Large freestanding bath and separate rainfall shower. Tuck shop with fab goodies free of charge. "A very nice little flat 10 minutes walk away from the city centre. Lovely thick carpets. The main bedroom is very nice indeed. Comfortable bed. "Loved the hotel, welcomed by very personable and kind doormen who were so friendly and attentive throughout our whole stay. The room was lovely and very spacious! Pool was busy but still nice! The location was also great, which a short walk over the river into the centre of York and the hotel was a perfect get away from the busy streets after a day walking around. Only negatives would be the foyer and welcome - it was very busy and queues up to the door! There needed to be a more efficient system to show us the additional check in room next door! Also our room backed onto the delivery entry to the hotel so we were woken at 6:45am by lorries and loud noise! This being said we would definitely return and thanks for a lovely stay! "
