"Birds farm is a lovely place to stay for the local Essex or Sussex area. Very quiet in the evenings, despite being just off a busy road. Great facilities, good comfy beds, very warm heating and well supplied cooking facilities. A pool for summer, grounds and a Summer house and a well stocked games room for kids if the weather is bad. "We really enjoyed our stay here. Host was excellent: knowledgeable and welcoming. Location was good, secluded enough but easy to get to all areas of the island. Food selection in kitchen was fab and available 24/7, never had that at a b&b before. Room comfortable and internet readily available too. "

"We really enjoyed our stay, the wood fired hot tub worked surprisingly well and was quite quick, the kitchen was well stocked with pots pans utensils etc. There was a dehumidifier to control the moisture and it really helped dry our swimwear. The adirondack chairs in the morning sun were great for breakfast and the internet was very fast. Bathroom was bit small for two tall people but c'est la vie, the shower was surprisingly great 👍"

"4th time I've stayed here. Gym, Pool and Sauna free to use for guests. I received a free room upgrade this time, but all the rooms I've stayed in are decent sized with good facilities. Decent Food and Drink reasonably priced. "

"The Rose and Crown was a lovely timber framed building but with modern facilities. The room was large, warm and comfortable with a couple of easy chairs which were an added bonus. The shower was good and easy to use. The breakfast was well presented and good and the staff were all pleasant and created a relaxed atmosphere"
