"What a pleasant surprise. The family at this well organised hotel are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is more than adequate. We will recommend a stay at Hotel Dolly to anyone we meet who are visiting Via Reggio. Via Reggio is charming resort ,busy but not appearing so. The bay and beach are excellent but unfortunately access is controlled by hotels."

"I love the style of the building and how convenient it is for everything . The team there made me feel very welcome and looked after my every need . It was an amazing location for the carnival as was on the carnival route . Eating lunch on the sunny terrace hearing the noise of the carnival below whilst drinking wine was great also handy for Lucca and Cinque Terra "

"Room very clean but hot as aircpn did not work and shutter would not raise up. Service at reception and breakfast friendly and efficient. It was a little loud as you could hear all ghe rooms around you so we were glad it was only a stopover hotel for ys but perfect for our needs. "

"Need to make the elevator less scary.... I did not use it after the first time , I was on the 5th floor and the elevator dropped 10-12 inches at the top. Decided to use all 124 stairs instead."

The staff on reception were especially friendly and helpful and arranged restaurant reservations for us and checked ahead with all these restaurants to make sure they catered for gluten free. "Great spot if you’re in Viareggio for the Carnavle season. The hotel is a cool old building. Might have been a Palazzo at one time. The staff was excellent. The room was clean and had nice setup. Bathroom was clean. The breakfast was large and plenty things to choose from. The city itself was great. "

"I spent 5 night at the playa hotel and I did have a good time , the property was ok ish, it is close to the beach and all the shops and restaurant area so really good . The staff was really nice and helpful however the room was a bit too small but ok overall "
