"Great central Newcastle location stayed 1 night Friendly check in at reception easy online check out. Tv lounge bar good. Room good size and bed very comfortable. Only drawback was no onsite parking which couldn’t be helped due to its central location. Tip do a deal with Q car parks for above 24 hour stay as we had reschedule our plans to ensure we left the car park under 24 hrs to avoid unnecessary charges.as the car park was not available next day to continue to park. "The car park attached to the hotel is owned by another company. It is very very confusing as the website says £12.50 for 24 hours but when we paid £12.50 at 12.40 pm it says it was valid till 4.50 pm. A sign said something about redeeming your ticket at reception. "Stayed here a few times. Good atmosphere, friendly staff, great location. Had an issue with the TV not working on our last stay, apparently this is an issue across the hotel so would not recommend if a TV is a must for you. "Another lovely stay at Slaley Hall. I always feel relaxed when I stay and love a walk around the grounds. The room was big and comfortable although parts were showing their age, like the door into the bathroom and wooden wardrobes, however, this really did not detract from a lovely night away. "Really enjoyed my stay here as a gay couple we were made to feel welcomed . The staff were very friendly, wee took our dogs to the hotel and was very handy that they could also stay . The hotel location was perfect , quite easy to find , would actually love to live and work here . Newcastle is such a great place . Would highly recommend visiting. "
