"The hotel is gorgeous and has a beautiful welcome with the warm cookies. Unfortunately when booking the hotel the wotif extras includes early check in and late check out, however when I contacted the hotel direct, this actually isn’t available to pre book. You also can’t pre book with the hotel car parking. It’s limited and even if you know you have a car, the hotel won’t book a spot. "Very cool hotel in a great location. Walking distance to tons of restaurants and shops, and very close to the harbor where all the tours leave from. The rooms are spacious and funky. Only complaint is it is very dark. Our room had an exterior window (some just have a window onto a moss wall) but was still quite dim all the time. Still would definitely stay there again"

"Front office staff members and other staff members were all great. Property was close to everything you would want- restaurants, markets and festivals. The two things I would be keen to request the property is - rooms become too hot at night as it seemed there was an auto shutdown with the aircon and the pool facilities needs some attention regularly as well as the rules of safety around it. Rest was all nice. We enjoyed speaking to staff and staying at the property."

"This is one of the best places we’ve stayed in. We weren’t in the main house but were in the Watarah Cottage at the back of the back of the property. This building was free standing so was incredibly quiet. The kitchen was really well equipped, the bed was very comfortable and there was a whole separate dressing room to store luggage and other stuff. The breakfast in the main house was great…excellent service from Kathy! I highly recommend this place and would stay again if in Hobart. "

"This is a wonderful old, elegant building equipped with all the necessary modern conveniences (except no elevators/lifts which was no problem for us). The continental breakfast was lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is perfect for getting around town. It is just one block from stop 4 on Skybus for getting to and from the airport. After that we walked everywhere. It was just 10-15 minutes or less to everything we needed including restaurants, bars, the waterfront, shopping, and several museums. We would definitely stay here again!"
