"This is my 3rd time coming here and my room has always been extremely clean! I stay at a lot of motels but none of them beat this one when it comes to room cleanliness. "
"The trip was originally booked under one name however that person was not able to go. That person was able to email the hotel and explain the situation, and the hotel was able to accommodate the person in place, with added proof. SImple easy no problem. We also had a snafu with our bank as they thought our card was stolen and declined the purchase of the reservation. The people at the front desk were patient and professional while we dealt with the bank snafu. The room was clean and spacious, great water pressure in the shower- I HATE going to a hotel that's fantastic and had dribbles for pressure. THe breakfast was decent, nothing fancy, kept simple. We were able to leave our vehicle in the parking lot after we checked out to take a ferry to the island, and then come back and get it later in the day. Don't let the name fool you- budget may be in the name, and give you the impression that this is a pay by the hour type of hotel, but this is anything but that. Big standards, great perks, at a great price. We will be back for sure.. this time with everyone on the list. "
"Great location right across form the marina and walking distance to lots of shops, restaurants and the ferry to Mac Island. We arrived super late after sailing across the lake and the staff made sure we could still check in even though their office was closed. "
"This was our second visit to Cedars Motel and it was great just as the first visit! Hannah and Alex are both very welcoming and friendly! Very helpful with answering questions about the area and Mackinac Island and things to do. The rooms are clean and well maintained, and they have a common area for making a bonfire and sitting around. Also provide continental breakfast! Definitely will continue booking a stay with Cedars!"
"Liked the view of Mackinac Bridge from our balcony. Someone was smoking on their balcony so I couldn't enjoy sitting outside in the fresh air with my morning coffee.
Breakfast area was too small and long line for waffle maker. Didn't use the pool. Room was clean."
"This was a lovely hotel for our UP and Mackinac Island adventures! We loved being right on the lakeshore, the breakfast buffet, nightly bonfires with s’mores, and the outdoor pool. "
