"Stayed here for one night. Grounds are very pretty and hotel is based on the side of quite a steep hill so quite a lot of stairs and ramps. There are some lifts to parts of property but not all and they are in odd locations, for example one led to a pitch black banquet hall that you needed to pass through. "Great family business, super friendly and these guys all went out of their way to make this a memorable trip, even driving us out of Palmi to take us to a neighbouring town. "Loved the pool. Parking was great and easy. Location was easy to find. Staff were helpful. Showers were very small. Bathrooms smelled a bit - plumbing problems perhaps need fixing. Hotel is a bit dated and needs a renovation."

"This place is very beautiful, modern, comfortable, clean, it looks brand new. Food was excellent. Parking is on the street but easy and felt safe. Front desk was ok, they did not spoke english so communication was a bit hard, they offered free bottle of wine but young girl at front desk charged us for it, maybe a missed communication. "

"Stayed here one night. Felt safe and our car stayed in the garage which is gated. Big bathroom small shower. It was 3 of us and each of us stayed in a twin. Too small for us but one night worked. Big complaint was no ac. It was hard to sleep since i was hot. If we opened the window no screen to stop any bug. Breakfast could be way better. It was limited. Over all though i liked it and neighborhoods was quiet. P.S. bring cash to this town if you are american. Was hard to pump gas since it didn't...

"Our stay at Casa Vela can only be described as magical. The owner allowed us to stay in an upgraded room for the first couple of nights, which had an incredible view looking over the streets and the sea! "This is a very nice, clean property with a stunning veiw right outside from whatever room you choose. The staff are very friendly and helped me with were whatever I needed. Scilla is one of the most beautiful, unique towns that I have ever seen, but what really makes it a great experience is the local people. Everyone was so kind, helpful and authentic. "A very mixed bag. The location is amazing and we had an incredible view from our balcony. The room was large, comfortable and clean. The issue is with the service. I messaged multiple times before arriving to ask for help arranging a transfer from the station. I got no response. There was nobody at the reception when I came to check in (or ever). The hotel was advertised as having a pool. It does not have a pool. Overall we enjoyed our stay but the terrible service took the gloss off "

"This place is simply incredible! My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights and were so impressed with the hotel and incredible views over the Tyrrhenian Sea. The resort was clean and safe, the beds very comfortable and the staff always friendly and helpful. The terrace is absolutely pristine and we felt like we had it all to ourselves at times during our October visit. The historic old town centre with plenty of restaurants and shopping is a short 7-8 minute walk away. Check out the Santuario Santa Maria dell'Isola and the beautiful sand beaches surrounding it. Shout out to Selena, Pawel the bartender and all the staff for making this trip such a memorable experience. This place will not dissapoint you and we look forward to coming back to Tropea and staying at Hotel Rocca Della Sena in the near future."

"They made sure you stay with them was first class service!! The pool was so relaxing. The beach look like paradise. The breakfast, lunch & dinner was Michelin star rated. I’m looking forward to going back to this resort. I truly enjoyed Giancarlo & Settimo , who went over and above to provide quality service!!"
