"DO NOT stay in this hotel. I have stayed in some flea pits in my time, but this is the worst. Like the other review, they made me pay again, saying they had no booking with Hotels.com. The price reflects it of course, but it is in a dodgy part of town, a lot of noise, nasty rooms, no toilet seat etc. But the door service is a disgrace: the door staff would not even let me me rest after an exhausting journey to sort in the morning, and I PAID twice for this miserable pit. Hotels.com please...

"For starters they used a different picture for the hotel front. The actual hotel is located in a different location from the map on Expedia. The room was full of roaches. It was my first time in Nairobi Kenya and it was the worse experience I’ve ever had with Expedia hotels. I want a refund."

"DO NOT BOOK HERE! I had booked this property to stay near the airport and tried to get into contact about late checkin (my flight arrived at 2AM). After multiple multiple attempts, no one responded. I was not able to get into the hotel. They took my money and then left me stranded. I had to rebook another hotel last minute and I was not given a refund on this place"

"The staff are what makes this hotel so special. For example, we went on a game drive at the beautiful park that adjoins the hotel. There were rain showers and by the time I returned to the hotel my shoes were covered in mud. I took my shoes off and was in the lawn, trying to clean them with a stick. Your man Edward came over and offered to clean my shoes. I was so grateful for his help. A little later Edward returned my shoes, clean and free of mud. This is but one example of the above and beyond service that makes Ole Sereni a top notch, world class hotel."

"I had an extremely disappointing experience when I booked a stay at this property. After arriving at Nairobi airport, I took an Uber to the location, arriving just around midnight. Upon arrival, we waited at the gate for approximately 15 minutes before a man came out. He appeared either upset or as though he had been woken up, and immediately demanded to know if the reservation had been paid. I showed him proof of payment through the Hotels.com app, but he continued to scrutinize it, seemingly unconvinced. After some time, he told us to wait, locked the gate behind him, and went back inside. We were left waiting outside for what felt like an eternity. At this point, the Uber driver expressed concerns about the safety of the area and suggested we leave. The neighborhood appeared unsafe, it was after midnight, and the property resembled a residential building. Trusting the Uber driver’s judgment, I agreed, and we returned to the airport. To make matters worse, Hotels.com seems unable to contact the property manager, which raises the question of why this property is even listed on their app. The whole operation seemed highly unprofessional. "
