"Ok, when we first arrived we were a little worried. The hotel is old and the room was a little tight with 4 sleeping mats on the floor BUT by the end of our 3 night stay we really enjoyed our stay. The onsen is lovely and that really made the stay, along with the staff who were eager to help with anything. Breakfast was included with lots of options and was quite good. We were here for a ski trip and this turned out to be a great location although a little further from Furano than expected (50 min on a small road). The beds were mats on the floor with small bean bag pillows and could have a been a little more comfortable but we got used to it. Parking was free and easy. Not a lot of restaurants close by but some food trucks across the street open for lunch. Would stay again. "

"Our stay at La Vista Daisetsuzan was a highlight of our trip to Japan. We spent 3 nights here and throughout the whole trip, the staff were friendly and kind, the food - especially the French dinner and the breakfast - was DELICIOUS, and we loved the overall feel of the hotel. Would highly recommend staying here! "

"Right next to the lake, so picturesque even when the lake was completely frozen. The staff were super nice and attentive, good with speaking English too. Onsen was amazing. Definitely recommend. "

"The mixed gender outdoor hot spring with swim wear provided was excellent. Our room had a mini zen garden inside, and we fell asleep to the sound of the river behind the hotel. Breakfast and dinner buffets provided ample options, including a make your own hotpot for one. A great place to relax and spend the night after exploring Kurodake ropeway and the surrounding portion of Daisetsuzan National Park."

"Dated hotel, as are all the hotels in the area, but very well maintained. Staff were all superb and the food service was very efficient and tasty. Not Michelin starred, but neither is the cost. "
