"It was small but very clean and decorated nicely. It is really fun to stay right in the heart of the old city. We noticed that some similar apartments were located WAY up on the old streets, which would make coming and going very arduous. The only staircase involved at this property is the indoor staircase, so it was quite manageable for us. "

"We so enjoyed Leonarda’s apartment! Our hosts, Leonarda’s gracious parents, were so pleasant and helpful throughout our short day. But the most impressive aspect to this accommodation was the lovely tapas bar just across the quaint alley. It is difficult to find affordable and delicious, unique fare in Dubrovnik, and AlaMaka was an exceptional find, right outside our door! Such lovely people and next level hospitality! "Very steep stairs to access property, but owner helped us with cases and couldn’t have been more helpful. Once in rooms ,very comfortable, fridge, and cooking facilities great a real bonus in Europe . Beautiful pool out side our door, very clean and got it to ourselves most of time. Great view of Port and walking distance to small but well stocked supermarket. So glad we booked here for our last night in Croatia."

"This lovely apartment is right in the historical part of Dubrovnik old town. It really had the atmosphere of "living in" a world heritage site. A short distant from the main street up some pretty steep steps. Adjacent to a wonderful narrow street lined with local restaurants and bars. I would certainly recommend with the caveat that you have to be mobile and fit enough to cope with the steep steps (if not Dubrovnik may not be the place for you anyway, there are steep steps almost everywhere!)...
