"This would actually be a review of the Morangie Hotel in Tain. We were informed just a few weeks before our trip that they have repairs that needed to be done in the Mansfield hotel and that they transferred us to another hotel without an offer of a refund. The Morangie Hotel was a nice looking manor and had lovely stag head and Jacobite sword memerobilia. However shrouded in tacky halloween decorations and buckets laid about to catch leaks around the hotel. It wasn’t the stay we were expecting....

"This is one of those special places that is worth the trek. Once you step foot into the front door it feels as if you’ve stepped back into a different time. The finishes are all rich and appropriate and the town itself is adorable. Service is outstanding, bed was delicious and would go out of my way to stay here again!! True luxe on a small scale! A bit difficult to find which bldg to check in so ask for clear directions prior to check in. "

Serve yourself continental breakfast was very good, with a nice fresh fruit selection and plenty of choice with cereals, bread, jams, etc. Location of the guesthouse is very close to the coastal footpath, for those that like walking, and also the golf course (for those that like walking after a little white ball)."
