"Second stop on our circle tour. We arrived on a Monday before noon to see if we could check in early and explore the area. Housekeeping had just finished our room and the desk clerk personally checked the room. he saw something in the bathroom that needed more attention and asked housekeeping staff to take a look. Which they did promptly. The room was clean and comfortable. We asked for information on the cycling trail and were given plenty of information on Gooseberry Falls State park and Waterfall locations and other interesting sites that we might want to check out along the drive north. Staff was very friendly. We ate at McQuades that was within walking distance from the hotel. Very friendly staff. Enjoyed our stay very much."

"The service at the Grill was utterly chaotic, with items delivered out of order or not at all until servers (there were several, and it was never clear whether anyone was in charge) were reminded. The food at the Grill was unremarkable at best. Service, food, and prices were much better at the bakery."
