"The hotel is very suitable for anyone travelling from the UK by road to southern France or the Alps. The drive from Calais to Chalons-en-Champagne is less than 3 hours. The town is not too far from the motorway south. There is very well priced fuel available. The hotel is located in a very pleasant square. "This little place was ideal for our overnight stay. It had everything you could need and for only 85 euros. Tiny kitchen but equipped with a microwave, kettle and coffee machine. "Do not be driven by the cover photo. This a working property and the rooms are above the office and working area. When work is over, no one is at the property. This is a very pedestrian stay. Our room was disappointing. The shower pan did not drain and my shower had to be cut short to avoid overflow. Our room door did not lock and once shut, it took the full force of my aging body to push it open. The main door to the building did lock however. The view was spectacular. We left early. "
