Uncomfortable, smelly and a waste of money
We visit Norfolk every New Year, and this was our first time staying in this building.
The building itself is stunning and I had high hopes that our stay would be brilliant. I received clear communication in the run up to booking, but different checking in and out times to those on hotels.com!?! The checking in process was OK, although the key lock box was very difficult to open, and it took us about 30 minutes. We arrived to a very smelly apartment, with the main stench (sewage) coming from the bathroom in the master bedroom, and the kitchen. We decided to not use this bathroom as the smell was so awful. To note we had been left with just half a toilet roll for the entire apartment. The curtains in my sons room are a joke and do not cover the windows at all, and this bathrrom was so dirty with spilt make up splashed up the wall. One of the sofas was in the garden and the one in the apartment is being held up by some wood and bricks. This was so uncomfortable, and the pictures in the listing show 2 sofas. The bed linen had stains on it. The towels were so tatty and frayed. And the mattress in the master bedroom is beyond uncomfortable. Having looked into the company running this property, and others, it seems like comfort is not a priority for their customers, just making money and creating a lot of similar companies that all do the same. To add we also received a call on our 2nd day asking where we had left the key as they thought we were only staying for 1 night.
