The stay would be so much better if it wasn’t completely ruined by an incompetent receptionist. When checking out, I asked her to call us a taxi to Futian Railway Station, even showed her a photo with address both in English and Hong Kong. She called us two cabs and both of them took us to Futian Port, which is completely different from Railway Station. We only found out about it at passport check because they told us we are at the wrong location.
We ended up missing the train, wasting 400HK$ on the tickets we never used, paying additionally 300HK$ additionally to get to Hong Kong by MTR and taxi (if we took train instead, we would be dropped off near home), spent 2 hours getting home instead of 15 minutes. All of this could have been avoided if only the receptionist didn’t mess up.
Another thing - we were promised a free transfer from the airport at our arrival. I contacted the hotel and they said I should take a cab and they will refund me the costs. They never did that. They stopped replying in the chat once they realised their mistake.
Overall, the room is OK, but neighbourhood is very shady and far from everything. You will spend 30 mins in a cab to get anywhere.
