"Firstly put in an accessible room with a low bed, very sparsely furnished, no bath and located outside lifts. Asked to be moved and without issue moved to a triple room on sixth floor. Starting.look a little old, mattress not the comfiest and warm in the room.Still a nice hotel close enough to centre to walk in rooms are quality. "

"We stayed Friday for 1 night while visiting the Christmas markets. Great hotel and spa formerly the money. We paid for dinner bed and breakfast and ate in the Fat Abbot on site pub. Bus to York took about 30 mins and was every 15 minute £2 each way."

"Building very large and very old so the upkeep is going to be a challenge. Couldn't turn the heating down or off in the bathroom so it was nuclear hot in the room when we entered. Had to sleep with the old sash window open. Stayed in room 52 which had no lift access, massive bathroom, ceilings really high, not many power sockets for charging your electricals, TV off to the side of the bed in front of the window which made shutting curtains a challenge. You had to pay for wi-fi for each device in...
