"It was okay. The rooms are small but at least the air conditioning works really well. Not many amenities, bare minimum hotel. Rooftop pool was nice and had a good view. The customer service was so so, sometimes the staff acted like we were bothering them, like by asking for a taxi. I don't think I would go back."

"os funcionarios sao muito bons e educados, porem o hotel nao oferece limpeza diaria nos quartos, em toda a minha estada o quarto nunca foi limpo pois fiquei lá 3 dias e a limpeza se da a cada 3 dias somente. "Foi ótimo! Gostei de tudo. I'm from the US, but lived in Brazil some years ago. This is a very nice hotel. They were helpful with everything. I am fluent in Portuguese, but they had staff who could speak English and Spanish as well. Dinner was very good. The flavors of food are muted compared to what we are used to, but the ingredients are 1st class. We had filet mignon with carrots and parsnips. (Advertised and manioc root. Nope) Anyway, it was delicious. I am actually lactose intolerant in the US. I eat dairy products anyway and suffer. Here the buttered carrots... Not a problem. Cheese the next morning, no issues. So not sure what the difference is, but Brazilian dairy seems to agree with me. The breakfast in the morning was fantastic. I can tell that the humidity plays havoc with trim etc, so I'm not going to sing the hotel for what Brazil is weather wise. The valet parking is R$50. Lets be honest, that's less than $10. Why would you fight for parking? If you want a nice clean place to stay with beautiful scenery and a wonderful friendly staff, stay at the Novotel. Highly recommended. "

"Nice room, great bed and pillows. Fridge in the room. Downside—No posted information about if the water was filtered in the complex and no complementary bottled water. No usb or c chargers in the room-most hotels in US and Europe have them on places like bedside lamp bases"
