"Shipyard location was cool and close to tourist imax exhibits on one side and concert venue on the other while charming town in front of us. The bus stop was a short 3-5 min. walk to hotel. Very cool retro vibe of hotel; friendly staff and big breakfasts."

"I will start with the down side because there is only one and that is the room is a little small. Now onto the positives. The view first off. Attached photo is from our room on the second floor. The Sky Bar is the best view in town. The bartender was fantastic and made incredibly complex and delicious cocktails. The Staff were the Best. I cannot say enough about how great the customer service was. Our flight came in from Hamilton Ontario and like most North American flights we got into Reykjavik early am. For 40 euros we were able to check in early at 7:30 and got breakfast in the Sky Bar to boot. It was wonderful. Location is great too. This hotel is in the center of all the action. Bars, restaurants, shopping, at tour starting points. "

"Great hotel right downtown. Easy walking distance to fantastic spots like the National Museum and the Settlement Museum. "

"Fosshotel Reykjavik was a really nice property. Our room was clean, a bit small, but clean and very quiet. My only suggestion would be a shelf in the shower to put your toiletries on. I had to put them on the floor and it was not convenient. The mattress was a bit too firm causing me pain but for the most part, the hotel was great. The included breakfast was amazing! Everything you could want! I would definitely stay again if I’m lucky enough to return to Iceland! Oh and the bus stop for the tours was right outside the door of the hotel! Super convenient! "

"The staff could not have been nicer! So patient with us. We had purchased alcohol, duty free, at the airport, as advised. When we arrived our room refrigerator did not work. We discovered that there was NO ice machine in the hotel except at the bar. To ice our beer and drinks we had get it from the bar. The frig was never fixed but we were comped several meals at the restaurant. We were told we used more ice than the entire rest of the hotel. Ha Ha. As I said the entire staff was very nice and took care of us without complaint. Thank you. "
