"The hotel itself was beautiful but unfortunately the immediate area around the hotel is not - and had lots of building works going on - also not having a bar or restaurant or communal area on site is a negative - staff were lovely and helpful and as I said the hotel was lovely too "

"Nice property, but poorly managed. The room was assaulted by an army of centipedes (they sprayed some insecticide after we complained, but there couldn't do much). The location is problematic and, as a bare minimum, there should be a free shuttle bus taking guests to the town center and the beach"

But liked it so much we cut a day off our Gili stay and went back for another night at Kalea Villas. Beautiful, quiet villas, built in 2020 and they are as fresh as brand new, and very elegant. We opted for upsell to the 5 BR villa on check-in which looked lovely in the pictures, but were stuck with a villa that stunk of sewerage the whole time! "Love coming here, this was my second time visiting and my husbands first. The pool is beyond amazing and we spent the majority of the time there. The Buffett was excellent, and staff was the best. "The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The staff deserves a five star for effort. Our room needed some deep cleaning in the bathroom and they went out of their way to make it right for us. We have allergies to mold and mildew. Given the high humidity it’s inevitable to have that accumulated without daily interventions to stay ahead of it. This hotel is really a gem in Sengiggi. The only area that I would say was not our favorite is the restaurant. Their time management and flavor are lacking from our perspective. Otherwise very happy with the location and again the staff is amazing. "
