"The hotel seems to have had a recent make over and a re-brand. The room was immaculately clean and the bathroom looked new and was also very good. My only criticism is the lack of amenities; if you want a kettle or iron you need to go to a store cupboard on the ground floor to get it yourself and there is no fridge in the room. Apart from that my partner and I enjoyed the quiet and were very pleased with the room quality"

It was a little inconvenient that the front desk had limited operation hours and that there were limited dining options in the neighborhood (no food delivery available via Uber Eats either), but still the friendly service overtakes these little inconveniences. Entry into the property is via a keypad and then there is another keypad on the door, which was ideal for us as we were often coming and going at different times. "The hotel is a short metro ride away from essen. Unfortunately this stops at 23.00hrs so its a taxi or walk 45 minutes to get back. The area has good facilities with several pubs and restaurants within walking distance. The staff at the hotel are brilliant and room we had was ideal for our needs. Clean and tidy with a small kitchen area and a balcony. Excellent value for money."
