Sealodge Beach

Yhis hotel has amazing views of the Pacific Ocean. It is right on Lydgate Beach. Two nice pools but no kids pool so kids are all around the pool. If you are looking for peace and quiet at the pool forget about it. They have a nice restaurant and a great tiki bar outside. There are no balconies where you can sit unless you are on the 1st floor by the pool. They have little to no privacy. They clean your room every 3rd day not every day. The fire show is absolutely great but expensive. Everything in Kauai is expensive! I highly recommend downloading the Shaka Guide app which has 4 self driving tours of the island by GPS coordinates so it always knows where you are at any point along the way. Makes the trip much more enjoyable then trying to figure out what to see and do. The north shore has the BEST beaches about 30 - 45 minutes from the hotel that are very secluded. It's a nice place to stay.

All of the Staff were absolutely fantastic, there were some glaring cleanliness and maintenance issues, but I think maybe this property is in the final stages of being updated? Our room featured paint/walls beat up by carrying luggage, a filthy older red fabric computer chair and a random unmatching chair in the corner. However, the trip was a pretty decent deal so I guess, we got what we paid for. The staff and service were absolutely the best, which far outweighs dusty light fixtures and random furniture

Beautiful boutique hotel with a relaxing vibe. All staff team members were great and very accomodating to all of our needs. Would like to especially applaud Dawn at the front desk, night shift . We didn't quite change over to the time zone and she was such a delight in the early morning hours, even grabbing coffee for me before Normal Cafe hours . A true delight was an invitation for wine tasting by the lovely owners and their children . These special touches sealed the deal for us, we will be returning !
