The owner allowed us to stay in an upgraded room for the first couple of nights, which had an incredible view looking over the streets and the sea! Casa Vela has a wonderful wine bar attached to it with excellent food and drinks. Our room was clean and very comfortable. The staff are very kind and attentive! Scilla might be the most beautiful community in all of Italy, the people are warm and welcoming and there is a very laid back “tranquile” vibe. I highly recommend staying at Casa Vela and we cannot wait to come back again! "

"The sea view was charming at night once the people in front of the hotel went home. Very helpful and corteous staff. Unfortunately the air-conditioning system did not work well, the room stayed at 26.8° and so we ended up opening the window, which meant we could hear the traffic outside."

"It is very noisy at night ( Friday ).The bar next door plays loud music with people drinking in the street until 2am.!!!! Finally they go home at about 3am. It is such a shame because everything else is so good. I can not recommend it for this reason."
