"I threw in a quick pit stop to Gothenburg from Oslo to Copenhagen. I had originally booked in at a chain property but took another look at my options via TA and decided to come stay at the Hotel Royal. I'm so please with my choice. Great service, beautiful old architecture, comfortable rooms that are laid out well for size (I was in a twin room but had ample room for a large bag). "Great hotel in a perfect location for central Gothenburg. Staff were friendly and helpful and the bar and restaurant were buzzing at the weekend which made it a fun place to relax with a drink after a day out. We had one of their basic rooms but it was still really spacious. A bonus is that the airport bus stops just across the road from the hotel too."

"The facility was great and its a steal for the location. The breakfast spread is the sweetest surprise you are in for. Make the most of it. Staff is very warm and available 24*7 just in case. Expedia was not giving me option to rate 4.5 hence 4 star because of the size and facilities in the washroom. There was no exhaust so it became super damp and stuffy after a point in the day. Rest everything was great. "

Great stay!

"We had a great stay here! The hotel was in a really good location a short walk or tram ride from everything you would want to do. The room was clean and the bed was super comfy! The only thing I would be aware of is that although there is a spa within the hotel you did have to pay to use which we were not aware of. "
