"Beautiful building in the middle of the historic quarter. Very comfortable and beautifully decorated room. The hotel staff was very attentive and made sure we were safe at all times. Select the hotel breakfast, you won’t find any cheaper or better. Even the minibar prices were fair. Great suggestions for areas to visit and places to eat too. Use the hotel services for trips and tours around, can’t stress this enough. A wonderful and vibrant city but not easy to walk around as a tourist. "

"It’s a perfect boutique hotel at the edge of Peroulinho. The staff was very friendly and ready to help. A nice breakfast with lots of choices in the morning and a cute bar in the lobby. It’s a bit uncomfortable walking late at night but totally walkable throughout the day. There is a noise from bars and other businesses around. Close to restaurants, museums, and attractions and easy to get around in Uber. "

"Gerardo is a great host! I felt at home during my stay here. The property is close to Pelourinho, in a residential area, which is quiet and parking was easy to find. The breakfast is delicious. Highly recommended if you want somewhere walking distance to the old town."

"Amazingly friendly and helpful staff from the receptionists to the lady preparing breakfast, to the cleaning staff. The rooftop is a great place to read, relax, work, wifi is working very well. Clean shared spaces, clean rooms. Only blot, the bedsheets which I found with marks, although clearly washed. It would be perfect if the sheets and pillowcases were new. Convenient location, just steps from the road where buses are."

Don’t believe the pictures; the air conditioned comfort penthouse advertised does not have windows in the walls of the apartment, and was barely ‘indoors’ much less ‘air conditioned’. "Since we arrived tried to contact Expedia that we were upset about the room but due to poor internet connection could not get thru. Had to walk steep stairs to the 3rd floor, of an old building, huffing n puffing, rattan on chairs tattered, dilapidated mattress, filthy bacteria laden string to pull flush, toilet cover cracked, insecure seat, lumpy pillows, old stained mirror, breakfast laid out in old plastic containers.Horrible! Pics on website deceiving, upset! Only saving grace were staff and lady who cooked breakfast offered us scrambled eggs on second last morning.breakfast area colourful but had shoddy curtains and laundry sheets - we had no idea what we were getting into as we booked a package air and hotel. We have booked a lot of travel with Expedia but this was the worst. Moved to second floor mattress better. Imagine walking up and down those steep stairs - had to take a break to catch our breath. Not used to these standards. Upsetting experience."
