"Pousada do arcanjo is a gem! This beautiful colonial hotel is conveniently located near the historic section of Ouro Preto. The staff wear period costumes which is such a fun touch. They are super friendly and helpful. The cuisine in Minas Gerais is said to be the best in Brazil and the hotel’s full Brazilian breakfast (café colonial) is a shining example. There’s a lovely afternoon tea as well! My room was very comfortable. I can’t wait to visit again! "

"Very stylish accommodation close to everything, very convenient and safe parking. You’re transported back in history with modern conveniences and beautiful view of the town. Staff speaks English which is be big reprieve from translator on cell phones. Breakfast is awesome and everything is organic, I haven’t eaten eggs with yellow orange yolks since I was a child! "Looks nice property , but very noise at night time . We stay #29. Extremely small . Basic breakfast , the best was the cheese Bread . The towels is very old . White ? No . They are almost grey and very bad quality . The employees are wonderful . Our sink was constantly dripping water and floor was wet the most the time . Very nice way to save some water . They have a bucket inside the shower and we can leave the first water from the shower in and they use to clean inside de room . We didn’t...

"Good location, beautifully decorated and very clean. Breakfast is good but dinner mediocre. Had reservation for 3 nights but had to cancel the last one due to flight changes. Hotel staff (that only spoke Portuguese) claimed that that had to be approved by Expedia. Contacted Expedia who said that they had to ask the hotel (Catch 22?). After several conversations with both of them I managed to get a small discount that was far inferior to the cost of one night. Will not use Expedia again."

"La habitación para 3 era amplia. La Posada está ubicada a 10 min del centro caminando por un terreno plano cosa que no es nada común en Ouro Preto. Lo único es que estás al borde de una de la carreteras de acceso a la Ciudad así que si no te gusta oír coches o motos, llévate tapones! La otra es que para acceder tienes que subir unas escaleras lo cual puede ser pesado si traes maletas."

"The Pousada Brasil is a 6-7 minute walk to the main town square, and the owner/manager is very friendly and helpful. As with many pousadas, the hotel is a very traditional building with a little balcony, nice windows with shutters. The room was very spacious, with a walk-in closet, and views towards the street outside and historic centre, which I liked. "

"This is an "adult property", not a proper place to stay unless one is looking for a discrete place to have sex. I feel I was bamboozled into making this reservation and I doubt I will ever see my money back. For the record, it is a very long distance from the center of Ouro Preto. "
