Charming family hotel in Santiago

The staff at the Tambre are lovely! It’s a family business and they will do anything to help. Breakfast is very good value with a great range of fruit, cakes and savoury options. It’s a 15 minutes walk to the cathedral.

Our hostess was wonderfully helpful all during our stay. She's a well-spring of information about the city, and she sets out a very nice breakfast buffet. Also, the pension is well-located for walkers like us, about 20 minutes from the cathdral square.

This was a small hotel which was great for our stay in Santiago. It was nice to have the personal touch. The breakfast was great and a kettle in the room was a surprising and very welcome find. Small car park at the back of the property was convenient and we could walk easily into the city.

Great little pension gem in Santiago de Compostela

Perfect place in a perfect location in Santiago. It was nice not being in the center of the city and all of its business, especially when you want to rewind and relax after spending 10 days on the Camino. The owner was especially helpful with restaurant recommendations among other things. I believe Ava was her name. Great fresh breakfast spread and very walkable to everywhere. Highly recommend!

Very good location in the green far from about 1 km from the cathédral. Calm and cozy Place with a kind and perfect host Eva. The only inconvenient point is that they are not very fast to replay tò your questions before arriving. I recomand the Place tò everyone.

If I had to choose this hotel again, I would in an instance. Ava, the host, was generous with her knowledge of the area, and gave me and my traveling partner a map of the city and pointed out directions to destinations we needed to visit. The breakfast she set up was generous, and included fresh fruit, local made breads and pastries, ham and cheese and yogurt. As far as the room was concerned, it was perfectly appointed and clean. Great view from the balcony of the cathedral nearby. Bathroom was spotless and beds were cozy. Honestly, I am sad that we were not able to spend more time here. Thank you, PR Tambre for a wonderful stay!
