I cant say enough good things! I wasnt expecting this hotel to be as amazing as it was. The pool is very good, the spa is excellent, the rooms are great, but most of all the staff are truely excellent people.

This hotel had the nicest staff I have ever encountered. They greeted us with a cold drink upon arrival and always anticipated our needs. Breakfast was always good and the pool was so refreshing in the warm weather.

Amazing stay in Santa Marta. Placita Viega hotel is located right in the center of town at the parque de los novios. It is a walkable distance away from all of the best restaurants, clubs, and bars. The area is always full of people and very safe. It is also a 5 minute walk from Santa Marta beach.

This was a great hotel in a perfect spot to enjoy the action of Santa Marta im the evening. But the real bright spot here is Jesus. He is attentive, organized and has a fun personality. We loved it so much we came back for a second night!

The hotel was wonderful located right on Parques de los novios where all the good restaurants are. The service was marvelous. Anything you wanted was done for you in a very friendly manner. you could have whatever you wanted for breakfast each morning. The pool was kept in immaculate condition.

Presidential Suite
Very clean and spacious. I stayed in the Presidential Suite, which has a large patio and beautiful view of the mountains and the sea with a few glorious sunsets during my stay. The outdoor shower was unique too. Though it lacked a few amenities, it was overall a very nice experience. The suite is very private as well, another nice feature. The pool was clean and large enough to enjoy. I saw a worker cleaning the pool on my first day there. The staff was very friendly and helpful and on my last day, the lady front desk person helped me make a last minute reservation with Marsol Transport Service for my return to Cartagena. Muchas gracias. I hope to stay again. I mentioned this in my initial report but the hotel is a bit hard to find if arriving by foot. My IPhone Apple map has it placed incorrectly in the Plaza de los Novios on the opposite side of the their location. There are also two signs for the hotel on the Justica Building but that is not the site of the hotel. The hotel is actually across the plaza from this (white) government building on the other side in the corner near Donde Cucho Restaurant.
