Staff was good but the hotel is awful. Hotel is an icebox to hide the humidity and mold. Hotel rooms feel damp and the old worn carpets are also damp and ugly. The bathroom baseboards are rusted and at the bottom of the door , it has a hole so the trim is rusty and off the ground. The bathroom countertop was cracked. And I paid for an upgrade to partial ocean view and the balcony was UNUSABLE because there was a huge bird nest and both parents were guarding the nest so they would attack when we opened the sliding door. I would NEVER stay there again and I wish I could get a credit or partial regund for my stay there.

It is a resort for sure, it’s isolated from everything from the limited beach to being at the end of a large gated community. It was not walkable, the “resort” restaurants and bars very expensive (25$ for a sad chicken salad and Diet Coke). On top of the prices, and inconveniences, and sad little beach that doesn’t connect with the beautiful Dorado beach, we had to leave early for an emergency and they would not refund us even partially for the resort fees. It felt like a punishment. There are so many nice places to explore in Dorado and other surrounding areas . This “resort” was tired, everything run down and broken and sad. The parking machines, elevators to name a few. I would not recommend this place. It’s old and isolated and expensive for what you get.

The property seemed a bit dated. Many areas seem un-used. Also, the common area for bar/restaurant was alsways very cold, requiring wearing a jacket, even for breakfast or during the day. Draft of cold air into room was blocked with towel at the entrance door.

Valet staff when we arrived at the property was terrible. Extremely rude. Asked to have our car parked, we were told to move our car out of the valet area, that we were in valet only parking. Told them again we were there to get valet, and asked where to park. Told me they didn’t care but I was blocking the valet lane and needed to move now. Told them a 3rd time that I was there to get my car parked via valet, they finally took the keys to park it. Different staff when we checked out, they were nice. Employees in the store/bistro very rude. Didn’t hear one of the items we ordered. Brought food to counter, told them an item was missing. Started slamming items around behind the counter. Made my sandwich, slammed it down on the counter, slammed receipt down. I don’t tip for this type of service, employee picked up the receipt, looked to see how much I tipped and laughed at me and walked away. 3rd instance was with indoor bar tender at happy hour. We don’t drink a lot, asked for a drink menu and we were shown the alcohol bottles in a very theatrical way. Bartender told her this is the alcohol I have, pick something. She tried to order a couple drinks she knew. Bartender said he couldn’t make them. Finally found one by chance. I asked for a piña colada, was told he couldn’t make it. I asked for a drink menu and told him I wasn’t going to continue to ask for drinks like my wife did, then he decided to make a pina colada… Hilton in San Juan MUCH BETTER!! Rest of staff was nice

liked breakfast, although limited, the food on the restaurant's menu was good. Happy Hour snacks need to be upgraded as well as the salsa that was provided. Make the thermostat in the rooms operable by the customer. Corporate setting was too cold for 80 degrees.
