"It is a perfect place to stay if you have flights in and out of San Jose. The shuttle runs every 15 mins back and forth, the breakfast was wonderful and the staff are kind and helpful. We just booked again for our return."

"I booked the Balmoral because it was in the historic district downtown, so I knew we'd be in the center of the city. I wanted to see the old section and we found the Museum of Costa Rica, which is housed in an old fort, right downtown. There was an restaurant sort of attached to the hotel which was very convenient and perfect for a nice dinner. Our room was very spacious, the bathroom had been remodeled and the was was hot - a must for us! The only thing missing was a washcloth, but I had packed one so we were good. the staff was very helpful, friendly and accommodating. Overall a great experience."
