Loved the size of the units (bedrooms, baths), cleanliness, breakfast service/options and amenities available - onsite laundry, pool, hot tub. Did not use gym or spa. Did not have enough towels for the pool and those that were provided were not fully dry (taken from the slowest dryer) when we needed them. Kitchen did not have any dish detergent to wash the dishes.

Bathrooms need attention and renovation to a more modern standard. Furniture needs to be changed. Sofas were old yellow leather with lots of holes and rips in them. Great location, safe and quiet spot. Very spacious apartments, just need a good shake up.

Villas del Rio is very well managed--I can't say enough about how good their staff is and the facilities are really nice as well. I've seldom been this satisfied with a hotel stay, but they were outstanding! I just had the basic one-bedroom booking, but still it was like a small apartment. Don't hesitate to stay there.

I have been staying at the Villas del Rio frequently for the last 8 years. This stay was not good however... The breakfast was terrible and the bed we slept in had mites (scabies) that we discovered the following day. I raised the issue with the management and they are resolving it.
