"The staff went above and beyond when we needed help with any thing. We lost our camera in a river while cave tubing, and the front desk went above and beyond to retrieve it from the tour company and make sure that we got it back. It was not expected, and a refreshing surprise. Food was really good."

"very nice people, great coffee , good fruit and peanut butter toast breakfast. fast wifi and working air con; I did work Zoom for 3 hours no problem. San Ignacio is run down so this place fits in. cool building. spacious rooms. backpacker comfort level . "I had a really pleasant experience overall. Ended up staying 4 nights. The only thing that was strange was the last night I had very loud pounding on my room door at 1:30 am. I was actually frightened and after the 3rd time I opened the door to find a lady with a staff member who said I wasn’t the right person. She was banging on all of the doors on my floor. "The Cahal Pech Resort is unique. They have both cabanas and hotel rooms, three small pools, a café, a bar, and a decent restaurant. It was fun staying there. "The grounds and pool at this hotel were stunning! Proximity to San Ignacio and all activities perfect! The room was lovely and spacious with a beautiful outdoor shower. The food at the restaurant was delicious and the head chef was so kind and thoughtful. My son and I got a stomach flu one day and she made us a an amazing ginger tea. The only downfall at this resort was the low water pressure and lack of hot water. You only get about 5 minutes before the hot water runs out. "

"The familt thst run the property are not the owners. Very nice family however we did not get the room that we booked. We were told we had to have the basic room rsther than the superior room we chose as thw owner had not setup the Expedia system corectly. Hence the price we paid was only for the basic room. They need to sort this out as would have stayed elsewhere had we known. "

"Once you got to the site, Nabitunich is a perfect setting and place to spend time. The long road getting in is very rough. The communal area is great for meeting other guests. Dominic is the perfect host. Very attentive to your needs. The food on the site is good. "

"This is an exceptional resort. We stayed in the Mahogany cabana and it exceeded our expectations. It backed the river and was so pretty. The restaurant overlooks the river and is beautiful. The goat cheese platter was one of my favorite items on the menu. They make their own cheese. Be sure to visit their farm. We toured the Mayan ruins and also did the river tubing tour. We had a great time!"

"Very helpful staff. Great old school attitude. Perfect location for all the Cayo activities. Easy walk to the main drag without all the noise. Restaurant food and service was great. Bird watching in their preserve was fun and Jason is very knowledgeable. Highly recommend. "
