"The Cahal Pech Resort is unique. They have both cabanas and hotel rooms, three small pools, a café, a bar, and a decent restaurant. It was fun staying there. The cabanas were various sizes, but I found them to have less living space than it would appear on the outside, though the protected front porch with a hammock was nice. "Very helpful staff. Great old school attitude. Perfect location for all the Cayo activities. Easy walk to the main drag without all the noise. Restaurant food and service was great. Bird watching in their preserve was fun and Jason is very knowledgeable. Highly recommend. "

"This is an exceptional resort. We stayed in the Mahogany cabana and it exceeded our expectations. It backed the river and was so pretty. The restaurant overlooks the river and is beautiful. The goat cheese platter was one of my favorite items on the menu. They make their own cheese. Be sure to visit their farm. We toured the Mayan ruins and also did the river tubing tour. We had a great time!"

"The grounds and pool at this hotel were stunning! Proximity to San Ignacio and all activities perfect! The room was lovely and spacious with a beautiful outdoor shower. The food at the restaurant was delicious and the head chef was so kind and thoughtful. My son and I got a stomach flu one day and she made us a an amazing ginger tea. The only downfall at this resort was the low water pressure and lack of hot water. You only get about 5 minutes before the hot water runs out. "
