"Our stay in Axel Hotel San Sebastián was great! The hotel is located in a quiet area closeby to many cafes and shops and at short walking distance to the beach. The hotel's premises were clean and modern, and we had a spacious and comfortable room. We loved the spa access included during our stay, which was an amazing added value to our holidays. "This small 2 star aparthotel really outshines some of the other 3 or 4 star hotels I've stayed in. They really take care of you and make you feel at home, with complimentary snacks, coffee, tea and fruit in the main sitting room that makes you feel like you're in cozy living room. There's artwork and carefully thought out finishes and touches everywhere. The hostess at the front desk, Adriana, was a gem! She was very kind and helpful with loads of information. The location was great, I walked to every major landmark, restaurants and shops. I never had to take public transportation. Be aware that there is no Uber, just taxis if need be. The only negative issue was the train railway was right across the street, so you can hear it coming and going during business hours. So not too early in the morning and not too late in the evening. Not a big deal of you're out and about all day. "
