"The property is beautiful and straddles the Douro River. The roads are not really walkable - narrow, no sidewalks. The breakfast was great. The restaurants lunch and dinner was mediocre. The restaurant did face the beautiful Douro River and had tremendous views. The rooms were nice but not special. "

"I want to point out that the only thing positive in our stay was the sympathy of the staff, all the other areas didn't go well. First of all, they gave us an accessible room that was not shown in the photos, whenever I went to the bathroom it looked like I was in a hospital. The floor had stains all over the carpet and the AC didn't work. Don't recommend it. "

"Our stay at Quinta da Ermida was overall fantastic. There were 5 of us staying in the 3-bedroom apartment, which was its own house with separate entry and private bathroom for each room. The view was gorgeous of the river and the train, and the property was beautiful to venture and take in the amazing views. "The hotel is on a square in a lovely part of town, with free parking available on the square and a street back too. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, with a small pool and space to lounge in the sun. The rooms were very clean and the electric blinds kept out the sun brilliantly. The staff didn't speak much english but we muddled through."

Amazing stay…. No questions asked!

"This has to be one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in. From the moment we arrived; the staff were extremely friendly and courteous; as soon as the door opens they are greeting you (every day) it was a nice gesture. They cannot do enough for you. The room was spotless, and the cleaners were back and fore all day, checking the water in the room and if we needed more. The lounge area for the bar was peaceful and staff were attentive and helpful when choosing a drink. The spa area and gym we used once and this was so relaxing. The pool was lovely temperature and was heated inside and out, the gym was small but had a few bits to use. We didn’t make use of treatments but they seemed good. On to the breakfast, WOW! The choices were out of this world, fresh fruit juices, fruit, yogurt bowls plentiful pastries and cakes, hot food, but also freshly made eggs benedict, avo on toast or omelettes, and these were a complete treat. I would highly recommend this hotel, the welcome from staff; the food, the cleanliness and the overall quality of service and comfort. We will definitely stay here again without a doubt. Thanks to all the staff "
