The room was clean and updated. The heater did not work in the room. And the window was cracked all the way across and up. Not sure if the wind was coming in through the crack or what. But we woke up with sore throats from the room being so cold.

Woke up to a giant brown hairy spider on our bed this morning! Smoke detector was missing. Dust bunnies and fuzz balls everywhere. The room smelled. My husband and I were so grossed out we almost left last night as soon as we saw the room. Broken safety lock so I felt scared and had my husband put a chair in front of door.

I was a little disappointed. Lobby & downstairs rooms were closed. No breakfast at all (drinks, fruit or anything). No security lock on our room, no toilet paper holder. At 9am we were being rushed to checkout of our room.

Walnut Inn Roland
Room was dirty, looked behind the table for an outlet and saw things that had been there a while. Cobwebs, dirt, and other trash. Bathroom had layers of dirt and dust on the light switch and floor. Bathtub had cracks in the bottom covered with flex tape. When we tried to check out at 7:30 am there was no one around and the lobby was locked. Lamp shade seen better days.

The room was affordable but the door safety catch was broken, making it useless and causing my family with 2 kids to feel unsafe. Additionally there was mold along the upper part of the shower and in the fridge, plus stains on the bathroom wall. The truck and traffic noise was very loud due to the nearby station and highway. And lastly, there was no breakfast at all despite being advertised on Expedia. Covid or not, humans still need food.
