"This was our first time staying at Mountaineer Casino. It was a nice experience. Had the wood fired pizza at Gatsby’s. Very good. The casino was very clean and did not have that smoky/stale beer smell. Good mix of older and newer machines. Had a little luck there as well. The restrooms actually had a pleasant smell, which is rare! The rooms are due for an update but couldn’t your own house use one too? Staff was nice as well. Will return !! "

"The place is beautiful and food is very good and upscale. Breakfast is included in the morning. The layout of room and dinning areas also gorgeous. Highly recommend for a quick getaway "

"The Sturgis House was beautiful and the staff was terrific. Our only regret was that we only stayed one night and had to get up early to get over to the Fiesta tent sale. Next time we’ll stay an extra night. :-)"
