"Wonderfully food experience. We were there on a holiday so there wasn't much open. Still, we went on a big walk in the rain - the Literature walk was well worth it 🙂. The town has a lovely feel. Pity about transport."

"Amazing public bath - temperature perfect, water clean with cold water dip and sauna available for men's bath. "Fabulous spot with beautiful views. Slightly off the beaten ttack and 25 mins from Saiki. Limited but reliable local bus door to door otherwise a taxi ride which is not cheap. Immaculately clean . Very popilar with Japanrse and quite traditional"

"We had a great time visiting our daughter and Oita. The place was about a 15 minute walk from the train station. It was roomie. Was nice inside as well. We would stay there again in the future."
