"It was an old hotel but clean. There is no reception desk so you have to go thru the bar to register and also thru the bar to get to your room. A bit different. The room was fine with the exception of one long pillow to be shared, not so comfortable and the bed was soft. For the price is was fine for one night."

"It is a pleasure to write a review of Casa das Capelas. It is a large and beautiful, fully renovated, historical building, set in lovely grounds. My excellent room looked out over rolling countryside. So peaceful. And the owners were extremely hospitable. There is a great patio to have a glass of wine, meet a few locals and eat a light dinner. Highly recommended. I will definitely stay here again next time I am in the area."

"This hotel is so unique. It’s a place to stay if you are interested in Spanish history and would like to stay somewhere that honors the past. Bill is incredibly knowledgeable about the pazo’s history both of the family that owned it and general history of the area.
