Half moon resort was perfect for us. Room was basic but clean and comfortable. Our room was right on the beach - it was very quiet at night with the sounds of waves very relaxing. It’s within a short walking distance to the main street with many cafes, restaurants and travel services.

Very quiet, very basic accommodations. Walk out of your room and in the water snorkeling in seconds. It was our own private lodge. Minutes to walk to any kind of restaurant or diving. Would recommend to anyone. The owners are super cool!

The room was simple and cozy with clean linens and a wonderful view from the balcony. We were there during Semana Santa and the music from across the bay was incredibly loud. But other than that, we loved this place.

Beautiful secluded hotel on the bay
I had such an amazing time. The hotel was cozy and the ac worked well. We are right on the bay so we did plenty of snorkleing. The deck was great to dry out dive gear as well. They really take care of this place and i would recommned it to anyone. Hope to visot again soon! Renee is amazing!!

Incredible snorkeling right off the shore and secluded portion safe from boats. Off the back porch we saw eel, stingray, parrotfish, flounder, trumpetfish, and countless other varieties. We will stay here when we return. They also arranged transport, could not have been happier

This was my second stay at Half Moon Resort. The new cabins are fabulous, as are the owners. The location cannot be beat - walk right out of your room and step into the water for snorkeling. Easy walking distance to West End yet private and relaxing. Thanks for another amazing holiday!

The rooms are big, clean, A/C worked well. Bathroom is fine and beds are comfortable. Wi-Fi worked well. The hotel does not have a restaurant or other services, but the location is excellent, quiet and right next to the water and it's very easy to go swimming in the protected bay. It's only a short walk to restaurants, grocery store, dive shops and "downtown" West End. The owners are friendly and helpfull.

Halfmoon has been my go to place for several years. Love the authenticity, the calm, the access to the bay directly from the room. I'm very sad that the place is now for sale. It won't be the same anymore.

Amazing experience, beautiful rustic cabin right in the water, walking distance to a wonderful downtown with excellent choices for food and drinks. You can walk right out your door and into the water for fantastic snorkeling, friendly dive shop right at the end of the driveway. Overall experience 10/10

This is a small family-owned resort consisting of cozy cabin-style units which are comfortable and well-equipped with good AC, hot/cold running water, and a small refridgerator. It is showing its age -- if you are looking for a luxury resort, then go to one of the big self-contained resorts in West Bay. If you are looking for a quiet, yet easily walkable (to West End dive shops, stores, and restaurants) place to stay with a fantastic view and access to Half Moon Bay right outside your door, then this is the place.

Half moon bay property is very bare bones. Do not come here wanting to be pampered. The rooms are very basic. No Tv, just a bed, couple end tables and a small fridge to put your water in. With that being said the Staff was super friendly the grounds were clean, the surrounding were very quite a couple blocks from the main town center. It was nice to decompress and spend time in the Ocean which is just feet away from the resort. The snorkeling was great as the reef you can see from your room and walk right out to it. With that being said Half moon bay was exactly what I was looking for to get away from work and recharge with the beauty of the ocean at my toes.

The view is fantastic with good snorkeling in the bay. The rooms are good sized and rustic. If you are coming to stay here expect the bare minimum. The sheets are stained and the towels have holes in them. There is virtually no room service. We got it twice and it consisted of sweeping the room and making the bed. We had to ask for room service. We will stay somewhere else for the same money.
