"On arrival at the Pera Palace tired & flustered from the overnight train from Sofia, I went and left my glasses in the taxi. After a friendly greeting by the reception staff, Salih immediately took ownership of the issue. He got the hotels CCTV checked and through the police tracked down the taxi driver. The driver was by then off duty so Salih arranged for another driver to collect my glasses and take them to the hotel - now that's what I call excellent customer service! The hotel itself was beautiful and all the staff so friendly and helpful. Okay, it's not cheap (although the restaurant was very reasonable), but for a special occasion it's worth treating yourself."

"Relatively new hotel with spectacular views from the rooftop dining/cafe areas. What I didn't like were the dining options--quality of the food and restaurants could be improved. "
