Relaxing and picturesque hotel with super friendly and helpful staff. Newly refurbished rooms were very clean and comfy. Quiet because you are abit further out of the main town but really easy to walk into Riva del Garda for dinner in the evening.

The view is amazing and it is located in a very quite area just 5 min drive from the centre. The facilities cannot be used all day they have time restrictions.

Nice clean hotel outside of town
Clean, comfortable, modern hotel set outside town among vineyards. We stayed here because it was cheaper than hotels closer to the water. You do need a car to get around, as there is nothing much nearby such as restaurants.But the water and downtown are only 5-10 minutes by car.

The hotel is ideally situated for the Lago lake (20 minutes walk). The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Our room was on the ground floor in the annexe building and we found it comfortable and well laid out, with handy adjacent parking. We enjoyed our stay and would return for another visit.

Lovely family run hotel. Excellent breakfast with lots of choice. Beds were slightly hard but that was a minor issue. Service excellent and very helpful staff. Loved the outdoor pool. Everywhere spotlessly clean. Full strength wi-if in our room. The walk into Riva takes a good 20 minutes at a fastish pace.

OK but not great
Around 3 km from the coast of Lake Garda, the local area was a little industrial, with construction work and commercial premises. That said there are Orchards to the rear of the property. The pools and wellness areas were good, although it is recommended to bring your own robe or hire one from reception @ 5€. The room was a tad dated and no double beds, just 2 pushed together. Breakfast was OK, although coffee not that good.

Basic hotel for basic price
I stayed at the Al Maso in June with my partner - we hadn't paid much so much were expecting something fairly basic which is what it is. The hotel is outdated but clean and in a good location - it's about a 20 minute walk from Riva centre, and close to a few good restaurants. The pool is great and always quiet. Breakfast is very basic - although we've been travelling around Italy and stayed at some hotels with amazing breakfasts so may be spoiled. Generic continental breakfast with hams, cheese, pastries etc, although the coffee was awful. There isn't a snack bar so to speak - just the biscuits and buns left over from breakfast. We didn't eat dinner at the hotel so can't comment on that. Although we didn't expect much of the hotel there were a few things that let it down. As a couple, it wasn't too great to be given two single beds pushed together instead of a double. The mattresses were so uncomfortable which is a pain after hiking all day - we both had trouble sleeping while at the hotel. Secondly, there is a mini fridge in the room with water - this is not complimentary! We found this out after being charged when checking out. As there was no price list or anything else in the fridge we hadn't realised. I did try to raise this but the receptionist but she didn't understand (or didn't care). The Lidl a 5 minute walk away sells big bottles for 30c. Overall a basic hotel for a cheap price. Although we didn't have a terrible stay, we wouldn't stay again.

Convenient and clean
My hotel choice proved a very good one. First of all, prices are very cheap, and for these prices you get very, very good value. The hotel is some 15-20 minutes' walk from the lakeside, located amidst vineyards. My room was spacious and very clean. The staff was super-helpful, and even did not want to get paid for an extra night that I had accidentally booked (It had been my mistake, so by terms of contract I should have paid). The only down side was the fact that the wireless connection in the room was coming and going, and to get decent Internet you had to go to the lobby. But this was more than forgivable, given the overall pleasant experience. Recommended.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff especially at reception area especially were very frieendĺy and helpful. The hotel and bedroom was very clean. The only problem we found was the bedroom was too small and congested.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The free use of hotel bikes really made the stay as it is about 20 min walk each way to the centre. Bizarre wifi situation without signal in rooms, but available in the lobby. Nice clean hotel with indoor and outdoor pool areas. Basic continental breakfast provided.

My husband (who is Italian) and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The location, room, and amenities were excellent. It was a quiet location and the wellness center was incredible. Breakfast is very good, as well. The staff in the bar were very friendly, and prices were low. The food in the bar wasn't great, but edible. A beautiful setting! The woman at the front desk was very unpleasant. When we arrived, we saw the small economy room we had been booked for and requested to pay for an upgraded room for the balcony if possible. She told us to go look at it before we paid, saying in Italian "Because I don't want to see you again." When we returned to tell her it was perfect, she was literally rolling her eyes at the front desk at customers calling on the phone. My husband made a strong effort to show his appreciation in a lighthearted way. She just glared at him. Strange, because we happily paid an extra €90+ for the upgrade and the entire floor was empty. Usually businesses don't mind upselling an empty room. On the first morning, employees knocked on our door to tell us that our fridge was broken and to pick it up. They said they'd be bringing a new one later in the day. On day three, my husband went to the desk to inquire about the fridge. They looked at him like he was crazy, saying there's no way a broken fridge could be fixed so quickly. No offer of any comp or even an apology. AC didn't work. Overall not bad.

Worth the journey from the airport!
We got a bus, a train and another bus to get to this beautiful town! I was surprising my partner, with this holiday and he didn't know where we were staying until we arrived. The last leg of the journey was through was looked like an industrial town which he wasn't impressed with. But, as soon as we got around Monte Baldo, the tourist shops and restaurants were everywhere and his frown turned to a smile. On arrival, the receptionist was very friendly and spoke great English! We didn't see many other English families here and the hotel was mainly Italian and German, which was a problem! The pool was very nice and there were times of the day where the pool was very quiet! We had a few hours of rain over our holiday where we spent a couple of hours in the Spa which was below the hotel. There was tea and water there but it wasn't clear how long the water had been sat there and there wasn't a Spa receptionist or assistant to help you out, would have been a nice touch. It's about a 20 minute walk to the lake which for me and my partner, being young, wasn't an issue but I could see why this may be an issue. There is a Lidl right outside the hotel which is perfect to get snacks for the daytime as breakfast is provided. We were keen to see other parts of the lake and got two easy buses to Gardaland and one to Limone. I would highly recommend both of these and buses are super cheap! Overall the hotel was nice. The room had cob webs in the ceiling. Only issue! ❤️❤️
