Very disappointing. I've read so many positive reviews, yet it was completely opposite. Checked in at the Viking Hotel first. The man at reception was very polite, however I was shocked when we simply got our room number written on a post it note and told that the room is open and keys are inside. We proceed to drive to the location. Parking is available with plety of spaces. Upon arrival we were stuggling to open the door. It looked like it was stuck. When we finally got in we have found the keys. Overall the propertly looks nice, however is not as clean as advertised. We quickly realised that the door was very difficult to shut and you had to slam it very hard to be able to close it. I do not recomment if you are planning to stay there without a strong man as it was practially impossible for me as a women to open and close the door. Same issue with bathroom door, would not close properly. The cleaner came the next day, only changed the bin in the room, not the bathroom one. Did not clean the room at all and did not replace the towels even though we left them on the floor. There is one kettle available in the room and two tiny cups. No spoon or any other cutlery. The properly advertises access to hot tub and sauna. We did not get told where it is at all. We have noticed a lovely hot tub pretty much outside our room. Turns out its a private one for one room only. The hot tub advertised is all the way on a roof of a different building! Too far to walk in the cold in your robe.

The property was unique in its location on a peninsula. It was interesting, warm, unique. Loved the in room sauna and private hot tub which we paid extra for. A major con is that we repeatedly had to chase other guests out of our PRIVATE hot tub. No dining options mid week and nothing really nearby. No microwave. Limited space to place or store personal items or food. It was a lovely place. We would returned, but prepared next time. Housekeeping and amenities quite limited.

The property was OK. Mainly clean but definite spots that were not. The entry door was very difficult to close properly and the outside light could not be switched off. The light being a problem as it's obvious to minimise light pollution in a location where you're hoping the Northern Lights will be visible. The TV was another issue as there were very few channels and the HDMI sockets wouldn't recognise a Firestick. I emailed the room booking email address as I couldn't find any other way to contact the owners, keeping in mind no staff are based at this location. I didn’t receive a reply to that email. The mattress was comfortable but the pillows were terrible. On another point, outwith the control of the property, I was disappointed with the amount of visible lights around the coastline, again, keeping in mind the context of trying to see the Northern Lights.

I’ll give it a 5 star, but I reserved 5 rooms and only one room was provided in the email. I called with not response. I message and never responded. We had to go room by room to figure out what rooms were ours.

Check in staff was very helpful! We were very early and they were able to give us some great local recommendations for coffee. Room was very nice and new. View was wonderful. Parking was veey convenient. Location is convenient but also away from the noise of a big city. Our mid teir room was great for a couples vacation

Stains on bed and blinds. Hair dryer is broken. Had a moldy smell. Pillows and bed were uncomfortable- did not sleep well because of this. Would not recommend.

We were sadly only here for one night, but our loft room was SO cool, we actually ended up ditching the large king bed below and slept on the twin beds up top to watch the northern lights through the skylights up there. There were really cute horses on the property too when you enter, which was a huge unexpected bonus! It was close enough to the city for us with our rental car, yet very quiet and peaceful set back right on the water. 10/10 would definitely stay here again!

Quiet lodging a short drive from the city. Clean and a great area to see northern lights. Did not receive check in instructions via Expedia and had to contact property upon arrival. There seemed to be no staff on premises so I actually had to contact a sister property. A bit confusing.
