"Our stay here was amazing! I was really impressed - the service was great, we were able to request a twin room instead of double, and they stored our luggage while we killed time before check-in. The room itself was spacious enough for two. It was really just a place to sleep after long days traveling around the island, and we did not find noise to be an issue. The ear plugs were helpful anyway. Shower was great - solid water pressure. Nice to have tap water for filling my water bottle. Plenty of space to spread out our belongings. We made tea many times and used the mini fridge to store some of our groceries like skyr and sandwich ingredients and milk for tea. The highlight was the breakfast - there was such a variety that really exceeded my expectations. I was expecting an airport lounge-type breakfast buffet, but here there were baked beans, hash browns, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, cottage cheese, chia pudding, muesli, oatmeal, fresh fruit - even cod oil for your morning beverage. The highlight for us were the flapjacks as part of the array of fresh pastries - we ate so many each morning, they were SO delicious! Overall, 10/10. Really wonderful experience for the price. I don't have a single complaint."

"Great property and wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the space and privacy of our family studio. The kitchen is well stocked for everything needed to make a meal. We were able to easily fry bacon for our homemade sandwiches plus the complimentary milk, juice, coffee and cornflake careal was an excellent accommodation. Location was also perfect for frequent visits around the city."

"Had a wonderful stay at Fosshotel! The room was beautiful, clean and comfortable. The bathtub and heated bathroom floors were quite a treat. This hotel is right in front of bus stop 12 Höfðatorg which all of my day tours were able to pick up from. I would recommend to anyone and would definitely stay here if I came back. "

"Great location. Right in the middle of town almost. Blocks away for the ocean. Clean and the rooms were nice. "

"The food was fantastic and very friendly staff. Public transport is limited and the hotel staff didn't have any knowledge about this, taxi to the centre £14 but we managed to work out the bus and the fare was 57p!! use the bus stop opposite the hotel no 5 drops off a few streets away from the Church and pick it back up by Chicken Wings facing East two streets down but the drivers are not friendly sadly..but the buses ran on time.."

"Great place to stay in the heart of Reykjavik. Excellent staff and service. Will stay there again. The restaurant that appears to be part of the hotel but isn't serves excellent food. Best hotel breakfast I've ever had!"
