"Unfortunately I was unable to enjoy a stay at the Casa Grande. There is no road to the place, i.e. they have to pick you up by boat. I sent an e-mail, left two WhatsApp messages and tried calling 4 times, all to no avail. Even 2 days later I have not heard from them. I ended up in Parismina without any recourse to get to the place, and so I had to find a different accommodation there. Very unfortunate. If you can book this place in the morning for the evening, the resort must respond, otherwise...

"Very nice owners and the cabin was super clean and well equipped. The double bed is not very big, but it is comfortable. The entrance is from the main street and is a bit steep, but a 4x4 is not required, we drove the way up with a sedan. During the day, you can hear the trucks drive by on the main road, but at night it is mostly quiet and peaceful. The breakfast was amazing!"

"Brilliant hotel in a great beach-front location. The room was very large and the bed was very comfortable. The shower was very good. The staff were all very nice and extremely helpful, particularly Leo who was regularly ensuring that we were happy with everything. Breakfast is made to order to suit your preferences and was very tasty. Nice hammocks to relax in. The staff even took our luggage to the dock for us"

"We enjoyed our stay, it was clean and confortable. The air conditioner was perfect for the room and the access to the beach excellent. We enjoyed the sunrise and the fullmoon, walked on the beach at night. The room is few minutes walk from the center of the town throughout nice sidewalks, close by was our favorite restaurant Pura Vida. And the boat service was great leaving us right to the hote frontl and picking us up there. "

"Very nice place with great location within Tortuguero. Staff was very kind and helpful; arranged all the activities (seemingly with much higher quality than other operators), prepared tasty traditional breakfast every day, and made sure all our issues are solved asap. We have met a few geckos in our room during the two days, but fair to say that this is almost given in a rain forest (and when we mentioned it, they immediately came to remove them). Would recommend it!"

"Lovely little place five minutes walk from the port. Great air con and nice to share the facilities next door with a great little pool and lovely breakfast. All the staff were great. The only improvement I would suggest is a fridge and coffee maker in the room, and we think someone could make some money offering a bag carrying service from the port with a cart! It’s very hot with heavy bags. But overall a lovely stay - thank you! "

"Staff are very helpful and there's housekeeping every day. I like the idea of having tea and coffee ready at 5:30 before going to an early tour. The convenience of pick-up and drop off at Casa Marbella dining area/ lounge chair for your boat ride back to La Pavona parking lot is a big plus. "

"The Cabinas is close to the beach with shower at entrance so you can wash feet or body before getting to your room. The staff are kind, even if difficult to communicate at times as some don't speak English, but they do their best. The hammocks are a pleasure in the afternoon. There is a common area with tables that you can have your meals which is very useful. Nevertheless there is an improvement possibility in the dinning the food takes a lot to be served and the taste and quality is not adequate to prices. "Such a beautiful place in the middle of nature. I loved their pool and food was amazing (we got the “full board” option for all of our meals paid for and it was definitely worth it, buffet style, delicious). Staff were incredible, kind and always helpful! Clean rooms - with all you need. Since you are in the middle of the forest, you get awaken by howler monkeys and birds, which I loved - being right inside the forest. Fan helped keep it nice and fresh at night, exactly what we needed! Perfecto location for us … in front of the town, 5 min by boat! Very private, and yet close to town! I would definitely stay here again!! Thank you! "
